How to Read Database Entries

Appendix A10

Last update: 02/05/'04

The following shows a typical database entry, that of Samuel Ferman Wampler. The spacing of each item is important. The entry starts with the ID-tag (see 2.2 Id-Tags) at the left margin. Each of the subsequent lines is two spaces from the margin and starts with an abreviation (see Appendix A7 where the format of each line is also discussed). Each entry ends with a lineage line which may be continued on more than one line with the last person (in this case John Wampler, id [hg4-73]) being the father of this person.
