Heinrich [h-3-1],
his son Hans [h-2-1] and his grandson Christian [h0-1] were
from the Zwischenfluh region of the Diemtig Valley (Diemtigtal)
of Bern Canton in Switzerland, high in the Bernese Alps. In 1983,
Fred Wampler found the small village of Wampflen (4 houses) up the
valley from Diemtigen. He reports on the Diemtigen church records
for these Wamplfer families in his 1986 book. Based on
National Geographic Society maps and map image from the World Atlas
program of The Software Toolworks, Inc. (Novato, CA).
